“Fabbrica” Young Artist Program, founded and directed by Eleonora Pacetti, was born in 2016 by the will of Superintendent Carlo Fuortes to promote the transmission of knowledge and the promotion of new talents in the field of opera.
We want to focus on the values of Italy, it’s Capital city, and the long established tradition that characterizes the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The daily effort of the people who work at the Teatro Costanzi, alongside the greatest artists of the contemporary scene, is a source of our inspiration. These young professionals will be supported in this delicate phase of their career that coincides with the beginning of their artistic development.
After a successful First Edition, for the next two years we selected 8 Singers, 3 Répétiteurs, 1 Stage Director, 1 Set Designer, 1 Costume Designer, 1 Lighting Designer, 1 Composer, and 1 Librettist to undertake a course that, through daily practice, will lead to important debuts and new creative experiences. With these constant artistic challenges, they will be given the opportunity to enhance their artistic maturity.
Each participant will receive a monthly stipend of €1,000, and will follow a tailor made course based on both academic and practical experiences at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
